Testing
It is important that you do a pregnancy test as soon as possible if you think you might be pregnant. There are a range of services in Leeds that provide free pregnancy tests.
Am I definitely pregnant?
It is important that you do a pregnancy test as soon as
possible if you think you might be pregnant. This can be done from the first
day of a missed period. If the test is done before this time, the levels of the
pregnancy hormone might be too low to be detected on the test. This means that
you could get a negative result even if you are pregnant. You should take the
test three weeks after unprotected sex at the earliest if you don’t know when
your next period is due.
Where can I get a pregnancy test?
Free pregnancy tests are available throughout the city. The service you can use is dependent on your age.
Pregnancy Testing is available to under 25s at 3-in-1 sites – click here to locate your nearest service.
Doctors
Your GP may be able to provide a free pregnancy test, but not all practices offer this service.
