There are many methods of contraception available. Some methods may be more appropriate or effective for you than others. It is highly recommended that you speak to a healthcare worker so they can help you find the ideal method for you.
Short acting contraception methods include things like the combined oral contraception pill, the progestogen only pill (mini pill), contraceptive patch and the contraceptive vaginal ring.
Long acting reversible contraception methods include the non-hormonal copper coil (Intrauterine device or IUD), the hormonal coil (Intrauterine system – IUS), contraceptive injection and hormonal implant.
Barrier methods refers to external condoms, internal condoms, the caya diaphragm, and natural family planning. You will also find information about how to access condoms with a c-card (if you are under 25) on this pages.
