Zero tolerance

Leeds Sexual Health has a zero tolerance approach to abuse and aggression towards our colleagues, in person and over the phone. Most people who need support from NHS staff do so in a respectful way that helps us create a safe environment for all. Sadly, there are some who can be abusive towards our staff and our patients. The wider impact that abuse and aggression have on our colleagues can include:

• Physical and emotional harm to staff.
• Wasted time that could be spent providing care.

We have the right to refuse treatment and take further action against anyone who threatens the safety of our colleagues and our patients. We will investigate any incidents that are reported to us and take appropriate taken.

Dealing with people who are abusive or aggressive towards our colleagues and our patients, takes us away from caring for you.
