How to refer someone to Leeds Sexual Health
Information for healthcare professionals
All service users must either telephone in advance to make an appointment, or be referred by a healthcare professional unless they are under 18. See our Under 18s page for more information.
1. Patient self-referral
Patients need to call us and select option 1 to speak to a care navigator.
Our lines can get very busy, where possible please make service users aware of this. After we have spoken to the patient, we will book them a face-to-face or telephone appointment depending what is most appropriate.
2. Professional referral or advice
If you are calling for some professional advice from our team of specialists please call us and select option 3 to speak to a health professional. We are open Monday to Friday (8:30am to 4:30pm).
If you are unable to get through on our professional line, we may be busy with a patient, if your call is of an urgent nature then please call our lab on 0113 84-31011.
3. Professional referral email
If you cannot get through to us on the phone, please download the below document, fill it out and return to us by email using lcht.lshadmin.lch@nhs.net
Emails will be checked from 8.30am – 4pm Monday to Friday. We check this daily and will respond within 2 working days.
