Available services
Leeds Sexual Health offers an open-access, confidential and non-judgemental clinic for people selling sex or working in the sex industry.
We offer the following:
- Condoms and lube
- STI and HIV testing and treatment
- Pregnancy testing
- Contraception
- Vaccinations, including Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), Gonorrhoea (4CMenB).
- HIV prevention (PrEP) (if required)
- Syphilis prevention (doxyPEP) (if required)
- Cervical cancer screening (Smear test)
- Onward referral and support as required
Access and Red Umbrella Scheme
- Red Umbrella Scheme confidentially notifies our reception staff that you are a sex worker, and ensures you are booked in as a priority for an appointment and signposting. When you telephone clinic or attend in person, please say you are using “Red Umbrella”.
- No appointments necessary: Walk-in is available at any of our clinics, on a sit and wait basis
- Dedicated female sex worker clinic on Wednesday evening from 5pm to 7pm, offering a safe space for female sex workers only.
- Outreach Leeds Sexual Health dedicated sex worker clinics at Joanna Project and Basis Yorkshire. We are usually at Joanna Project on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and at Basis Wednesday afternoon. There are some evening clinics as well. Please check days and times with Joanna Project and Basis (website links below)
